Airports & Transfers

Oslo Airport is 45 km (28 mi) north of the city. The spacious airport has huge windows that give excellent views of the landscape and the Nordic light. State-of-the-art weather systems have decreased the number of delayed flights, but always check with your airline regarding the status of your flight.

Airport Transfers

Oslo Airport is a 50-minute car ride via the E6 from Oslo's city center. From Oslo S Station, it's a 19-minute ride by Flytoget (express train, NKr 150 one-way), with trains scheduled every 10 minutes (4:40 AM-1:16 AM).

Flybussen buses depart from Oslo Bussterminalen Galleriet every 20 minutes and reach Oslo Airport approximately 45 minutes later (NKr 100 one-way, NKr 150 round-trip). Going to the airport, they operate daily from 6 AM to 9:40 PM (7:40 on Saturay night). Going from the airport to Oslo, the buses operate daily from 7:30 AM to 11:30 PM (11 on Saturday night).

Flybussekspressen can be picked up at any one of 114 stops, including Oslo S Station, Stortinget, Nationaltheatret, and Aker Brygge on its way to the airport. There are two bus lines following two different routes to the airport. One traverses the inner city, while the other follows the ring roads. Passengers simply hail the bus from bus stops on the street. Buses leave twice per hour and the trip costs NKr 100-NKr 140 depending on where you get on. There is a taxi line at the front of the airport. By taxi the trip into town takes about 50 minutes and is extremely expensive -- upward of NKr 600 -- so try to catch the Flytoget. All taxi reservations should be made through the Oslo Airport Taxi no later than 20 minutes before pickup time.

For Ryan Air flights from Oslo's second airport, Torp at Sandefjord, take the Torp Express Buss from the main bus terminal at the rear of Galleri Oslo. Buses depart every hour and the journey takes two hours.
