Getting Here and Around
Tromsø is a crossroads for air traffic between northern and southern Norway and is served by SAS, Norwegian, and Widerøe. The airport is 3 km (2 mi) northwest of the town center. The Hurtigruten coastal express boat calls at Tromsø.
When coming from the south, follow the E6 (the main road north) pass Narvik before taking the E8 heading west at Nordkjosbotn. Nor-Way long distance busses serve Tromsø. Tromssbus (operated by Cominor) is the local operator in the Tromsø area. There is no train station in Tromsø.
