Tágide

Tágide Review

In a fine old house that looks out over the Baixa and the Rio Tejo (reserve a table by the window), you can have one of Lisbon's great food experiences. The dining room lined with 17th-century tiles is a lovely backdrop for sampling regional Portuguese fare, from both tasting and seasonal à la carte menus. Try the famous presunto (smoked ham) from Chaves, stuffed squid from the Algarve, or a gourmet take on the classic porco à alentejana (Alentejo-style pork with clams). Other mains might include duck or wild boar. Vegetarians are well served with lovely creamy risottos. On arrival at the restaurant, ring the bell to get in.
