Seafood is the specialty of this riverfront restaurant owned by veteran musician and Porto native Rui Veloso, which occupies a beautiful and historic building that dates back to the 16th century. Try grilled fish, one of the codfish dishes, lombo de veado (loin of venison) or real local specialty tripas à moda do Porto (tripe stew with beans and vegetables). Both smokers and nonsmokers are catered for here. There's now another Dom Tonho serving similar food just across the Dom Luís bridge in Gaia—affording amazing views of Porto itself.
