The local tourist office, the Turismo has full information on opening hours and prices, on walking trails in the countryside, and on tour companies. The Turismo also houses an art gallery, the Galeria do Museu Municipal, specializing in works associated with Sintra. Praça da República 23, Sintra. 21/923-6932. Free. Tues.-Fri. 9-noon and 2-6, weekends 2:30-7.
