Tatyana's House Review
A good alternative to a hotel, this guesthouse in a white-brick two-story building is a five-minute walk to the Museum of Wooden Architecture and the kremlin. Guests are welcomed by the owner, Tatyana, with a hearty traditional Russian meal and vodka and awake to a breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and sandwiches. The host can also arrange for a traditional Russian banya experience, tours of the town, and horseback riding. This is an ideal option for groups as you can rent out either floor (4,000R-5,000R) for six people or the whole house (8,000 on weekdays, 10,000 at weekends) for 10 to 12 people. Tatyana doesn't speak English, but her daughter Anna does, and the B&B takes bookings by email.
