English-Language Bookstores

Anglia is St. Petersburg's best-known English-language bookstore, with a large selection of Russian literature in translation, popular fiction, and classic English literature, as well as sections on photography, history, biography, and foreign languages. The friendly English-speaking staff is ready to assist you with all your literary needs. Though it doesn't have nearly the same selection, you could also try St. Petersburg's largest bookstore, Dom Knigi (House of Books). A limited selection of outdated English-language guidebooks on various parts of the former Soviet Union is available at Akademkniga. Iskusstvo, like Akademkniga, stocks English-language guidebooks.
