Mash Tun Review

Curvy yet sturdy, this former station hotel harks back to a time when Aberlour was a busy holiday destination on the Aberdeen to Aviemore train line. Now a smart B&B and popular restaurant, it is once again the heart of the village. The bedrooms, named after local distilleries, are bold and fresh, decorated with deep hues and an abundance of snow-white pillows and duvets. If you want to work up an appetite or work off the splendid food in the restaurant (try the haggis or venison), the Speyside Way walk along the alder-, oak-, and rowan tree-lined river is just a few moments away.
