Laphroaig Distillery Review
Whisky produced here is one of the most distinctive in the Western Isles, with a tangy, peaty, seaweed-and-iodine flavor. The distillery is a little less than 1 mi from Port Ellen toward Ardbeg. Its visitor center is free, and there's a basic tour for £4.80 along with some other, more expensive options. Call to prebook tours.
