Crinan Hotel Review

One of a group of houses around the last loch of the Crinan Canal, the hotel has a dramatic setting overlooking the Sound of Jura and Craignish Point; it echoes the style of the boats on the canal in its use of wood, and has references to fishing and the sea on its walls. Public spaces and rooms are bright and cheerful; some rooms have private balconies. You can dine in the elegant Westwood restaurant (£45 for four courses) or in the cozy and pleasant Crinan Seafood Bar with windows facing the canal, or just pause for a beer in the Crinan Pub (also known as the Panthers Arms).
