Loch Ness Lodge Review

Run by siblings Scott and Iona Sutherland, Loch Ness Lodge is an exquisite place: opulent, classy, and welcoming. The owners keep the formalities to a minimum while making you feel pampered with nice touches like the small decanter of sherry that awaits you upon arrival. Rooms are spacious, and all but one have views of Loch Ness. The decor makes good use of dusky and deep colors, realized in crushed velvets and raw silks. They've even created sublime lighting in the large bathrooms. Make sure to reserve a table for the five-course dinner, which includes delicate, perfectly prepared dishes such as roasted breast of wild partridge. In summer, rates include breakfast and dinner. There's a small spa with a hot tub and sauna.
