Holmwood House
Holmwood House Review
The National Trust for Scotland has undertaken the restoration of this large mansion house, designed by Alexander "Greek" Thomson for the wealthy owner of a paper mill. Its classical Greek architecture and stunningly ornamented wood and marble features are among his finest. You can witness the ongoing restoration process one or two days a week; call to check for times.
