The Corinthian Club

The Corinthian Club Review

Inside what was once the mansion of tobacco merchant George Buchanan, the Corinthian has an ostentatiously elegant restaurant where you can dine under a 26-foot-high glass dome as classical statues stare in your direction. The menu usually includes such staples of Scottish cuisine as rack of lamb or baked salmon fillets, as well as an intriguing vegetable bouillabaisse with potato dumplings. The gloomy basement, once a criminal court, now houses a beer and champagne bar. Among the other on-site drinking establishments is the Prohibition Bar, which uses teacups rather than glasses. There's also a casino that stays open until 6 am.
