Grand Central Hotel Review

This recently refurbished hotel certainly deserves its name, as everything about it, from the magnificant marble-floor champagne bar to the ballroom fully restored to its original glory, is grand. This was one of the great railway hotels of the late 19th century, and many of the original features have been carefully preserved (including the guest-room doors and windows). The rooms themselves are spacious and high-ceilinged, decorated in muted colors and papered in elegant designs. The Tempus restaurant maintains the theme of quiet elegance with a menu celebrating Scottish beef, fish, venison, and duck. A bright, modern deli serves coffee and sandwiches.
