Mill of Eyrland Review

White-painted stone walls, country antiques, and the rippling sound of a stream running beneath the windows make for a pleasant stay at this bed-and-breakfast in a former mill dating from 1861. The old machinery can still be seen, and attractive gardens surround the house. Evening meals are available on request. This makes a good base for visiting Stromness and the nearby archaeological sites of Maews Howe and Brodgar. There are three double rooms and a two-bedroom suite that share a bathroom.
