Mareel Review
Next to the Shetland Museum, Mareel has a live performance space, two cinemas, and a café and bar. The chunky, shining edifice's design has been controversial, as has its cost. But with the island's creative community bursting at the seams, it will undoubtedly be filled with life the minute its doors are opened. At this writing, the space was slated to open in 2012.
