Bardoulet's Restaurant Review
The color theme here is gold, and the inviting dining room has large gold-framed mirrors and heavy hanging drapes. A lot of care is put into the classic French food, which consists of local ingredients with rich sauces, perfectly presented. Scottish lobster and Jersey potato salad and Gressingham duck breast with eggplant and foie gras are good choices, and crispy haggis with caramelized apple puree, sweet-potato gratin, and whisky sauce is a real treat. The set menu is £40 for four courses. The bar-bistro also has top-notch food, but the prices are a little easier to swallow (about £10 cheaper per entrée).
