Tolbooth

Tolbooth Review

Built in 1705, the Tolbooth has been many things: courthouse, jail, meeting place. At one time the city's money was kept here. It has retained its traditional Scottish steeple and gilded weathercock, and now has a newly built tower from which to survey the surrounding country. Today it serves as an art gallery and an arts venue with a 200-seat auditorium and a bar that is open for performances.
