Fodor's Review:
In the tradition of Catalonia's finest restaurants, Xavier Pellicer leaves no detail to chance here. Innovative canons learned from Europe's top chefs are converted into original recipes. The taster's menu is the only reasonable choice here: trust Xavi (and any attempt at economy is roughly analogous to quibbling about deck chairs on the Titanic). Àbac is now an uptown boutique hotel as well as a gourmet pilgrimage. For fine feasting no more than a convenient crawl from your luxury suite (with spa facilities on hand to help repair the damage), this is one of Barcelona's most exciting new combinations of superb dining with top accommodations.
