An attractive wood-and-stone cider-house replica, Sagardi comes close to re-creating its Basque prototype with its ersatz cider barrel shooting frothy blasts into wide-mouthed glasses. A full and groaning counter offers a hundred varieties of tapas, usually over-breaded creations from the suburban tapas factory that turns out these mediocre morsels. Stick with the far-better hot tapas straight from the kitchen. The restaurant in the back also cooks first-rate txuletas de buey (beefsteaks) over coals. The other Sagardi branches Carrer Muntaner 70-72 and Av. Diagonal 3 (in Diagonal Mar) are equally good.
