On Gràcia's main thoroughfare, Barcelona's best known Galician restaurant has maritime motifs, snowy tablecloths, wood paneling, and fleets of waiters in spotless white outfits all moving at the speed of light. The bank-breaking Mariscada Botafumeiro is a seafood medley from shellfish to fin fish to cuttlefish to caviar. An assortment of media ración (half-ration) selections is available at the bar, where pulpo a feira (squid on slices of potato), jamón ibérico de bellota (acorn-fed Iberian ham), and pan con tomate (toasted bread topped with olive oil and tomato) make peerless late-night snacks.
