"Design classics" may be rather more appropriate a term than "antiques" for the products sold at this large Eixample warehouse. The name plays with the words "no art" and refers to the perception of design held by the shop's Belgian and Spanish owners: that it is an aesthetic response to functional problems. It is therefore no coincidence that AR.NO should specialize in tables, chairs, and lamps from the second half of the 20th century, a period marked by the rise of exactly that view in design. Transparency is key; the owners provide as much information about a piece's origins as they can gather, and wouldn't be caught dead with a copy in their shop.
