Tibidabo is Barcelona's traditional promontory, a romantic evening and late-night promenade overlooking the city and a nonpareil point from which to watch the Mediterranean produce Technicolor dawns and blazing sunrises. The Collserola hills, Barcelona's version of the Vienna Woods out to the northwest of the city, are visible rising verdantly behind the city. Honeycombed with well-kept trails, the Parc de Collserola is a vast, 20,000-acre forest and park beyond Tibidabo and Vallvidrera, complete with wild boar and miles of wilderness.
