Caserío San Benito

Caserío San Benito Review

If it weren't for the cell-phone tower looming next to this country restaurant 11 km (7 mi) north of Antequera, you might think you'd stumbled into an 18th-century scene. Popular dishes include porra antequerana (a thick gazpacho topped with diced ham) and migas (fried bread crumbs with sausage and spices). There are more innovative dishes here as well, like fried cabbage with prawns and arroz con crema (creamy rice) with pork loin and asparagus. The restaurant's a popular Sunday lunch spot for hungry malagueños in the winter months (in summer they head for the beach). While you're there visit the museum filled with antiques and agricultural implements.
