Altair

Altair Review

If you're looking for a respite from traditional old-world decor, the Altair, with its bright modern dining room and outstanding contemporary Spanish cuisine is the place for you. The restaurant is just outside the city center, with views of a Roman bridge nearby. Head chef Ramón Caso has won international attention—and a Michelin star—for his food, which makes use of all fresh local ingredients. À la carte specialties include roast suckling pig with creamed potatoes, roast duckling baked with honey and figs, baked cod, and beef loin with fresh mushrooms. The special tasting menu ($$$$) is well worth it.
