Despite the wooden beams and many original features, this 19th-century mansion overlooking the Escapa mountain range isn't rustic—guest rooms have modern furniture, plenty of light, and, in some cases, pleasant sitting rooms. The hotel overlooks the Escapa mountain range, 15 km (9 miles) east of town; it's perfectly placed for hiking, camping, canoeing, and swimming (which the staff can help organize).
