FEVE's Transcantábrico narrow-gauge train tour (www.transcantabrico.feve.es) is an eight-day, 1,000-km (600-mi) journey through the Basque country, Asturias, and Galicia. English-speaking guides narrate, and a private bus takes the group from train stations to natural attractions. Passengers sleep on the train in suites and dine on local specialties. Trains run May-October; the all-inclusive cost is €4,400 for two people in a suite.
