De Las Letras Review

Modern-pop interior design seamlessly respects and accents the original details—glazed tiles, canopies, the original wood-and-iron elevator, wooden staircase, stone carvings—of the 1917 building and the rooms, painted in tones of ocher, orange, or burgundy, have high ceilings, wooden floors, indirect lighting, and over-the-top modern bathrooms; each junior suite has a terrace with a whirlpool bath. There is also a charming rooftop terrace bar open to the public. Enjoying a meal or a cocktail in the restaurant-lounge at street level, you would never think you're around the corner from the bustling Gran Vía.
