Zorn Museet (Zorn Museum)

Zorn Museet (Zorn Museum) Review

Mora is also known as the home of Anders Zorn (1860-1920), Sweden's leading impressionist painter, who lived in Stockholm and Paris before returning to his roots here and painting the local scenes for which he is now known. His former private residence—Zorngården —a large, sumptuous house designed with great originality and taste by the painter himself, has retained the same exquisite furnishings, paintings, and decor it had when he lived there with his wife. Next door, the Zorn Museet, built 19 years after the painter's death, contains many of his best works.
