Carl Larsson Gården

Carl Larsson Gården Review

In this small village you can visit Carl Larsson Gården, the lakeside home of the Swedish artist (1853-1915). Larsson was an excellent textile designer and draftsman who painted scenes from his family's busy domestic life. The house itself was creatively painted and decorated by Larsson's wife, Karin, also trained as an artist. Waits for guided tours in summer can take two hours. You'll receive a timed ticket and can visit the café or stroll around the garden or lake while you wait.
