The lobby in this stainless-steel-paneled hotel is welcoming, with cane chairs set up in a pleasant seating area below skylights. The bright rooms are practical but tend to lack the luxury that the price tag may lead you to expect. In fact, the run-of-the-mill furnishings and a tad too much gray make it a bit dull, save for the occasional alarming tangerine and mint-green striped chair. But its central location on the main pedestrian mall makes it a great base if you're not going to spend much time at the hotel. For breakfast there is an international buffet or a Japanese breakfast; the restaurant serves innovative Swedish and international dishes. At night the piano bar behind the lobby fills with guests.
