Halmstad

With a population of 55,000, Halmstad is the largest seaside resort on the west coast. The Norre Port town gate, all that remains of the town's original fortifications, dates from 1605. The modern town hall has interior decorations by the so-called Halmstad Group of painters, which formed here in 1929.
