The South and the Kingdom of Glass: Places to Explore
Helsingborg
Helsingborg, with a population of 120,000, may seem to the first-time visitor little more than a small town with a modern ferry terminal (there are about 125 daily ferry connections to Denmark and one a day to Norway). But the town has an illustrious history. Together with its twin town, Helsingør (Elsinore in William Shakespeare's Hamlet), across the Øresund, it controlled shipping traffic in and out of the Baltic for centuries—and there are even a few interesting sights, as well as a healthy selection dining and lodging options.
