Kärnan Review

All that remains of Helsingborg's castle is Kärnan (the Keep), which was built in the late 14th century. It has walls 15 feet thick. This surviving center tower, built to provide living quarters and defend the medieval castle, is one of the most remarkable relics of its kind in the north. The interior is divided into several floors, which contain a chapel, an exhibition of kitchen implements, old castle fittings, and some weaponry.
