Kunsthalle (Basel Art Gallery) Review
A must-see for lovers of contemporary art, this museum has hosted landmark, precedent-setting exhibits of contemporary art since 1872. In addition to showing the work of several modern masters early in their careers (Klee and Picasso), the gallery was the first in Europe to display works by American Abstract Expressionists. It's renowned as one of the world's most active institutions dedicated to the presentation of contemporary art. Programs include video installations, performances, and artist talks.
