Wengen

Skiing

Wengen. Just over the ridge from Grindelwald, Wengen is nestled on a sheltered plateau high above the Lauterbrunnen Valley. From there a complex transport system connects to Grindelwald, Kleine Scheidegg, and Männlichen. From Wengen you can take a cogwheel train towards Jungfraujoch or Lauterbrunnen. There's also a cable car to Männlichen plus numerous lifts to serve the ski slopes. The Lauberhorn run is tough; it's used for World Cup ski races in January. One-day lift tickets for Grindelwald-Wengen cost 62 SF, and a two-day pass costs 112 SF. Lift passes for the Jungfrau-Top-Ski-Region are available only for two or more days. A two-day ticket costs 129 SF. Wengen. www.jungfrauwinter.ch.
