Getting Here and Around

The fastest connection from Zürich is the commuter train, which takes about an hour. There are also trains to and from St. Gallen that connect through Winterthur (travel time 86 minutes).

To reach Schaffhausen by car from Zürich, take A1 to Winterthur, then head north on the cantonal highway E41/15. You also can leave Zürich by way of the A4 expressway past Zürich Airport, crossing through Germany briefly and entering Schaffhausen through Neuhausen am Rheinfall. In Schaffhausen, there's underground parking at the Stadttheater underneath Herrenacker.
