Getting Oriented

This area is roughly organized like a hand. At the wrist are the Alpine foothills of Fribourg; these curve gently down to the palm of flatter Neuchâtel, with the long ellipse of Lac Neuchâtel. Beyond lie the Jura's rugged fingers, which form valleys in the Jura Mountains and finally come to rest on the plateaus.
