Arosa

Getting Here and Around

Arosa lies at the end of a beautiful, winding 29-km (19-mi) road with grades of more than 12% and more than 360 turns. Taking the train from Chur is a lot less nerve-wracking than driving. The Rhätische Bahn (RhB) has frequent departures to and from Arosa. The 11 am and 3 pm trains have open carriages in summer for an excellent sightseeing experience. Within town, you can ride the municipal buses for free if you have the Arosa Card, which is available in the summer. At that time, the card is included in all overnight stays. The Arosa Card (free for overnight guests; 13 SF for day-trippers) gives summer visitors free access to many attractions, as well as round-trip rides on the Rhätische Bahn railway between Arosa and Langwies, which is great for hikers.
