Park Hotel Review
Set in a fairy-tale lakefront palace, this isolated but lavish retreat dominates the tiny village of Vitznau. Constructed in 1902, this luxury suite hotel has all the modern conveniences wrapped in an Edwardian facade. Many rooms command dreamy Alpine views, and are worth requesting in advance; the back rooms overlook the slopes of the Rigi, dotted with grazing cows. At this writing the hotel was closed for construction, but was expected to reopen in 2013.
