Grotto Paudese Review

Immaculate, friendly, and family-run, this bed-and-breakfast is perched high above the town in the tiny hamlet of Paudo. Its rooms, a mere handful, are tastefully simple, if a bit small; the owners squeeze in the occasional antique chest of drawers. There's an unsurpassed view of the twinkling valley and the Alps beyond. The adjoining grotto is warmly traditional, turning out a robust daily meal (homemade pasta, polenta, and the like). The inn is roughly a 15-minute drive up from Bellinzona. Going east into the Val Morobbia, follow signs for Pianezzo and then for Paudo.
