Getting Here and Around

Getting into Ticino's valleys usually requires buses, which depart infrequently from the Locarno train station. The trip up Valle Maggia, for example, takes nearly an hour to reach Cevio. (The Ferrovie Autolinee Regionali Ticinesi runs a train into Ponte Brolla at the start of Valle Maggia, but from here you'll still have to take a bus to Cevio.)
