This warm and welcoming complex has kept pace with the times. Its moderately isolated hillside, though quiet, requires a shuttle or uphill walk to activities. Public areas have carved or aged wood, stone, and stucco; the rooms, sturdy Alpine furniture, wrought iron, and stenciling. South-facing balconies fill with afternoon sun worshippers. The very popular public restaurant, La Hotte ($$-$$$$), serves Italian fare, some prepared on the open grill, as well as raclette made at the fireside – it's so good, reservations are essential.
