Fodor's Review:
A third generation of the Mudry family oversees this rambling hotel on convenient middle ground between the two villages. Secluded in a hilltop park, it is buffered from the main thoroughfare by enormous evergreens. A shuttle service offers links in both directions, and the Crans-Cry-d'Err cable car is a five-minute walk uphill. Rooms, outfitted with familiar heavy furnishings and damask coverlets, undergo seasonal spruce-ups but remain homey, luring repeat guests. Activity areas, though a bit worn, are full of options, from games to workout equipment to a pool. An in-house spa is a plus, and the demi-pension meal plan means you won't have to vie for a reservation in town.
