Fodor's Review:
Stepping stones lead to the wrought iron entry of this stately, multistory mansion perched above the main road. A mountain retreat since the late 1800s, the designer setting mixes antiques and collectibles, with sepia photos, rippled mirrors, orchids, and fur pillows – the handiwork of the wife of the genial hotelier team. Floors creak and window frames sigh in cozy guest quarters that have hung on to their character through various updates. Gourmet dining (à la carte or demi-pension) is part of the top drawer ambience as is an ultramodern, grottolike pool and spa.
