Chasselas grapes are cultivated on the steep shale and sandstone terraces by Aigle and Yvorne; these local wines flare with exuberance. Generations of the Badoux family have tended the land around Aigle held by murailles (stone walls), producing a signature wine identified by the lizard on the label. La Boutique du Lézard, a lovely wineshop, is just the place to scout a local find. Browse the shelves for select vintages, etched decanters, and corkscrews.
