Planning Your Time

Despite its international stature, Zürich is a small city (some may argue "town"), which makes it ideal for a visit on foot. The historic center can easily be visited in a day, factoring in a nice lunch and a relaxing dinner or night at the opera. Add a half day for each museum you want to visit—and there are many—and one more for lakeside relaxation or hiking in the nearby hills.
