Old Greek House

Old Greek House Review

About 5 km (3 mi) from Ürgüp, in the sleepy village of Mustafapasa, the Old Greek House serves delicious home-cooked specialties, including a variety of mezes, meat dishes like karniyarik (eggplant stuffed with tomatoes and ground meat), and homemade baklava. Portions are generous, and the set menus are a genuine feast. Seating is on cushions on the floor around low, round tables or at regular-height tables in the central courtyard. The building, a 250-year-old Greek mansion, still has original frescoes on the stone walls and original painted wooden ceilings. The house is also an inn, with 13 simple but comfortable rooms.
