At this comfortable, well-run hotel 12 km (7½ mi) west of town on Lake Van, ask for one of the lakeside rooms, which have views of the lake and mountains—all rooms are large, with good beds, nice decor, and modern bathrooms with big cabinet showers. The terrace restaurant also overlooks the water, and you can enjoy a drink or meal while watching the sunset and listening to the water lapping against the rocky shore. A stone pier for swimming juts out into the lake.
