Mardin Museum

Mardin Museum Review

The small Mardin Museum is on the city's main square, in a grand old stone house that used to be the home of an Assyrian Catholic patriarch. The stone relief carvings on the exterior are quite exquisite, and the small collection includes displays from archaeological digs around Mardin, with pieces from the Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, and other periods. One floor has an ethnographic exhibit showing life in old Mardin.
